ongoing recovery

Hi Everyone

On a completely different and non clinical part of the recovery process i have had a number of "treatments " which may be more of interest to our female members , as we all know most of us will have suffered from the effects of Chemo and weight loss as an individual who likes to take care of my appearance i was never going to live with that especially  the hair loss and the wrinkled face , so having little else to do during recovery i thought i would look into how best to alleviate these conditions , first was the hair loss although i have now grown back my normal full head of hair , i got a custom made wig through a specialist which boosted my confidence for the six months i wore it and no one even noticed it , second was the wrinkles on my face and neck , i found a local  aesthetics  clinic and spoke to a specialist nurse about what could be done, to date i  have had some dermal fillers , a course of laser treatments and am currently mid way through an RF skin tightening treatment , these treatments combined have returned my appearance to pretty much the same as it was in January 2020 although i am still 17kg lighter , it's not vanity it's about restoring your self confidence and not everyone might agree with it but as for me i was never going to be happy looking like i a sixty a day smoker , then again i am not trying to look twentyone either , if i can help any of you with more detailled information onn any of these topics please ask , oh and i also had a four session course of reflexology which i found helpful for my general wellbeing , i hope you and yours are all well and take care

regards

Douglas
