fishing for info. Just had a call from the unit. I am super stressed and upset- but I don't know what to do.
The unit said op date been pushed back to 16th dec due to needing antibiotics for 'something ' on the lung !!!
Now they are going to do a minimally invasive oesophagectomy whatever that is!!!
and a 'partial' response to chemo.
OMG what does all this mean!!!!Will he be home for Xmas .........
Any info gratefully received.

I'm sorry to hear that your husband's surgery has been pushed back. It's understandable that you're feeling worried but it sounds as if they hospital want to make sure he is as well as possible before the operation which would be sensible.
Minimally invasive surgery is another term for keyhole surgery. We do have some information about this on our website here which may answer some of your questions but I'd suggest giving our team of nurses a call to chat things through.
