Welcome to the forum and I'm sorry to hear about your Mum's diagnosis.
I'm afraid that I don't know why she has been referred to the respiratory clinic. Was the referral sent by her GP or by the Consultant who diagnosed her cancer? If you and your Mum are unsure then give the her GP/referring Consultant a call. Hopefully they'll be able to shed some light on things ahead of the appointment.
Many thanks for your reply. I have called the specialist nurse and a visit to respiratory clinic is needed because of location of lesions in oesophagas could effect her breathing also. Since my post she has been given an appointment for the gastric clinic. I’m worried because of her age, 92, she will only be offered palliative care.
