So sorry your having such a hard time at the mo... but just to say, wer not medically trained, just others with cancer or looking after someone effected by it ...

If it were me, I'd be strait on to G P or oncology team, for advice ... it sounds like you need proper medical advice ... as even if it sounds the same as someone else's just may be something different ...

Our nurses are not back till Monday, so please as it's a sat, if your G P surgery is closed, call their out of hours number ... l wouldn't panic, but would get it seen as quick as poss ..

Hi there Halse.  I too am not a medical professional but I do have a habit of looking up information on the internet.  MacMillan Cancer Support does state that a mucus discharge can be a symptom of squamous cell carcinoma but - again - I have no way of saying that this is the case with yourself.  But Chrissie is of course correct when she states you should see a doctor if this is causing you problems; you may want to ring 111 and ask their advice? 

By the way, don't worry about the subject matter - if you need help you need help and we are all human beings who need help sometyimes.  Annie

Hey Halse, I just saw this post.  I had a lot of mucus for months and months.  The tumor smelled awful (the nurse said she hears that a lot), but I did not notice an odor with the mucos.

I've been reassured that the leaking will stop after a couple days of treatment... Fingers xd eh as that's what kinda makes it awkward x

That's good news, Halse!  Thankfully I didn't have any leakage, but I had several mishaps.
