My partner has a lymph node in his neck that is secondary cancer. They thought it was lymphoma but after biopsy it wasn’t. They’ve said that it’s secondary so they did a tonsillectomy thinking mouth as the primary but no it isn’t. He’s had scans yesterday he had a PET scan but they aren’t expecting it to show them anything they don’t already know. So my question is does this sound like a metastasis cancer? I’m absolutely gutted finally found my perfect partner had a lovely life ahead and 10 wks ago a swollen gland then all of this

Unfortunately I'm unsure of the answer to your question but I'm sure the doctors will do all they can to find out what they - and you - need to know, and from there you'll be able to find out what the next steps are.
