No breast lump slightly inverted nipple right boob

On the 6th July while trying on a dress I noticed one boob looked smaller. The nipple slightly inverted.  My age 73 years.

On the 6th August the GP referred me to a one stop breast clinic. Following several hour and biopsies  i wasgiven a follow up appointment for 16 days to see a surgeon.  The surgeon confimed Invasive Ductal carcinoma and advised excision of breast tumour and sentinel lymph node. 17 days later I had the surgery.

25 days later I was told I required excision of all lymph nodes. One month follow up i was told 9 lymph nodes were positive.

I would need a CT scan and bone scan.  I had infact had a CT scan done 5 weeks earlier as I was unhappy with the time they were taking.  The CT scan had been put on back burner!!!   The following day I was told spread to bones

I'm having bone scan tomorrow and seeing Oncologist wednesday.  This is my experience with the NHS and I feel it is disgraceful

  • Hello annitru,

I noticed that you hadn't had a reply to your post from earlier this week and wanted to post to say that I was sorry to hear about everything that has been going on for you over the past few months.

How did you get on with the Oncologist today? I hope that the appointment went well and that the Consultant was able to give you some answers.

If there's anything that you feel you'd like to speak to one of our team of nurses about then they're available Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm on 0808 800 4040.

    Best wishes,
