New to this.....Hello xx

Well this is a new experience, early days for me so just dipping my toe in here. Seems I've got to learn a whole new lingo!

well anyway , yesterday following a mammogram ( highly uncomfortable), ultrasound and two biopsies the consultant tells me I have a small ( about 1 inch) cancer in my right boob. Got to wait until next Friday 4th Aug for treatment plan and hopefully more details but that's how we stand at the mo!

Feeling ok...ish, obviously sore boob but better now I know I guess, so now just the waiting game xx

  • Welcome to the forum Julie.

I'm sorry to hear the mammogram was uncomfortable and left you feeling a tad sore although I'm glad to hear you're better now.

Being given a cancer diagnosis can be a shock but it's good that it is small and has been caught early. We have many members who have been in a similar position and hopefully some of them will be along soon to say hello and share their experiences with you.

Come back and let us know what happens in your meeting on Friday, we'll be thinking of you and will have our fingers crossed for the best possible outcome.

    All the best,

  • Wow it been a bit of rude.....had lumpectomy on right breast...turns out it's grade 3 idc 35mm. But fortunately didn't go to lymph nodes. Had onco results yesterday 55 so high risk....things are moving fast now all getting a bit real.

Assessment apt on Tuesday and 1st fec chemo( love the  name)  on the 27th.....not sure what to expect so going with the flow. Hope you gals all smiling through xxx
