New Customer

Hi,

A new customer to this world of being baffled and not convinced I’m being told everything I need / want to know.

im a fit and healthy ( clearly not that healthy ) and been diagnosed with a T3 localised Cancer I’m on vocal cord with no spread anywhere.

Im about to have my mask done this week and all i know is 6 weeks Radio and 2 dosed or whatever of Chemo to make sure !! I look at it as Ice and Lemon with my Gin and Tonic !!

Why am I here ?? - I wouldn’t like to bounce thoughts / ideas and experiences openly to those who have questions. I would also like to know what others have experienced with my type of Cancer and the REAL TRUTH about what it was like and what I should 100%  expect with no 1 in 10’this and studies say that nonsense. I am very strong and my way is that if I am going to fight all the way - I want to know my enemy and plan my fight and not listen to some Oncologist treat me like yet another customer doomed for the fun bus.

I would Also like to write a blog online - I wan to share my journey OPENLY

/ FANKLY AND HONESTLY with a lot of humour ( I have a wicked sense of humour and during my diagnosis I used quotes from songs to the team as answers - like it’s a bit lady gaga - I wasn’t born this way !!! ANYWAY - time to move on to the week ahead.

i look forward to hearing ANY advise / experiences and views about a blog as well.

Take care folks and live strong and if that’s difficult at times, give it the strength you’ve got !!!

Thank you !!!

  • Just want to say hi, and welcome ... think a blog can be very helpfull ... not got the same cancer, but then I suppose it's basically the same ... all cancers suck ... but good luck on your journey ... you kick it's butt ..

  • Hi lago welcome to Cancer Chat. I just wanted to pop on and give you a few pointers with regards writing a  blog. Quite a few members of the forum have gone down this route and not only have they found it extremely cathartic, they have been good enough to share their blogs with the community who have also found reading them both interesting and therapeutic.

If you use the seach bar at the top of this page and type in blog, you'll find quite a few posts on the subject and there is also a thread here which I think you might find useful.

We wish you all the very best with it and hope you can share your blog on Cancer Chat.
