  • Hello Marydoll66,

Welcome to the forum although I'm sorry to hear about the news that has brought you here.

It's often normal procedure for results to be discussed at an MDT meeting. This means that when you go for your appointment with the consultant that they should have a full picture of what has been seen during the endoscopy and the CT scan and will be better placed to discuss what treatment options are available.

It's important to remember that treatment for a neuroendocrine tumour (NET) depends on a number of things including where the cancer is, its size and whether it has spread.

NETs grow at different rates, but they often grow very slowly. Some might not grow at all for months or years. So you might not need treatment straight away. Your doctor might just keep an eye on it with regular tests.

We've some information on our website about stomach NETS that you might find helpful to have a read through. You could also call our team of nurses to chat through your concerns and questions ahead of your appointment. They're available Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm on 0808 800 4040.

I hope that you won't have to wait too long for your appointment. Do keep in touch and let us know how you get on.

    Best wishes,
