Hi I am new to this site.

my partner has been diagnosed with N.E.T.s

(neuro endocrine tumour) started in pancreas and spread to liver and lymph nodes.

been through a lot with misdiagnosing him at first.  

Just wondered if there is anyone on here with the same?

he won’t eat properly and takes creon tablets to help digest his food.  Also has Fortisip drinks to try and maintain his weight. Just started on an injection every month to try and slow the growth. 

But I am at my wits end as I am trying my hardest to help him and understand - but all I get is a load of stress off him. He won’t talk about his diagnosis??? 

Any ideas?????

    Hi Joanne,

    When was your partner dioagnosed?   Many of us find it difficult to accept that we have cancer and we either want to know all that there is to know or we don't want to know anything and don't want to talk about it. 

    We usually relent with the passage of time, but the amount of time it takes us to accept our diagnoses varies from one person to the next.

    Sadly cancer doesn't just involve the patient but their families and it must be very hard for you at the momernt. You will find other people who are going through the same as you if you go to the search box on the blue banner at the top of this page. Enter in NETS and this should bring up what you are looking for.
