Dear Mollydot, I'm really sorry to hear about what you and your family are going through right now. I can't advise you what to do as that is your personal choice. I just wanted to reassure you that people may have different perspectives on this, but there is no right or wrong. You know yourself and your family better than anyone else and I am sure you will make the right decision for you all.

Sorry to read your news do you know what your treatment will be?

I'm going through treatment for breastcancer and it would of been difficult keeping it from my family. 

Only you can decide wether to tell them as you know them, it won't be easy but may help.

Thank you for your reply. I'm having a lumpectomy and radiotherapy the consultant said they are awaiting one result (sounded like hertz) maybe chemo but he said we will discuss this in preaddmission clinic. I feel I need to tell my mother just incase another member of the family slip up and say something. As you say I know them best so maybe I will sleep on it and decide tomorrow. Just like others have said it's your personal choice whether to tell anyone so can give advice on that but after reading your post (my husband is on EOL care for a GBM 4 brain tumour) I wanted to wish you love & strength on your treatment journey and your families journey with your sister.   ️ ️
