My sis

Early this year my sister and best friend was diagnosed with bowel cancer stage iv. She's only 37 and docs gave her a year max to live with chemo. My whole family is in a state of shock and despair. Is it too much to hope for a miracle? x

  • Dear Sandy,

It is never too much to hope for a miracle, my son had stage iv terminal bowel cancer and secondary liver mets and when you hear that your heart and mind g o into overdrive and never stop, reading all you can. I joined this forum and the macmillan one.  On the macmillan one is a person whose mum had the same diagnosis and 7 years later this lady is still here.  Each person is an individual and sometimes things work out well for one and not for others.  Hope is an important. Bigs hugs to you and your sisterxx leslie

  • Thank you for replying it means a lot. Sending you virtual hugs xx

  • The chemo seems to be working my sister's tumour shrank more than her oncologist expected so big celebration this weekend. She's tired and lost weight but we decided to fight this thing against all odds. We won't give up!
