  • Hi elliejane

Just a quick welcome to this forum community.  It is a sad reason that finds you here but good to read that you have good support around you.  I found the forum as somewhere to chat to others in similar situations, especially when I did not want to bother family with my questions/worries (am a lot older than you and it was my husband who had cancer). I thought you might like to know that there is a similar chat area, believe its called Rip Rap, which is aimed at young people going through similar situations.  Hopefully you will have other responses soon but in the meantime hope your mummy's treatment goes well and do ask for help from your supporting network as and when you need it.  I did find I could only cope with things by taking one day at a time (and am still living this way now).  Look after yourself.Jules54

  • Hi Ellijane,

Glad that our lovely Jules had given you a warm welcome. I am sorry to read about your mother but it is good to read you have good support. It is hard to cope for anyone but more so for someone of your age.

This is also a good place to get support. Never be afraid to ask for help.

Sending best wishes and kind thoughts your way, Brian.

  • Dearest sweet elliejane,  so sorry you find yourself here, I am a lot older than you and found myself here when I felt desperate.  Jules is a tremendous lady and amazing support, definitely try the website she has guided you to. Come here also anytime for a hug and support. I pray your Mum will recover and be with you all your days , I will light a candle and remember you in prayers this evening.  Take care, love Kerrie xx
