First of all, I am so sorry to hear about your Dad, and I know this news must be a shock to you and your family. My Dad was diagnosed with stage 4 prostate cancer a few years ago, and I remember how difficult those first few months were. Is your Dad going to be recieving any treatment? 

I think your Dad is probably taking some time to process if it is still fairly recent that he has been told this news. Feel free to come on here and talk. There are some very supportive people on these forums.
