Hope this isn't too late but will be thinking of ya... I had a total right masectomy in 2017 ... and looking back the scariest time was the wait ... but on the morning of my op ... looked at my boob and said right you little (blighter) only I used a different word ... your comming out now ... and now your a member of the breast friends club ... no one wanted to join but so glad we did ...you can say anything on here ...
I only needed a few paracetamol later .. but under your arm pit where they take lymph nodes will ache for quite a long time .. I had a soft heart shaped pillow that made lots of difference ... made by previous cancer lasses ...
Listen to your body .. and however you feel after, is normal ... I look at my scar now with pride and it tells me of my journey with cancer ...
You can do this ... get that blighter out ... and think you'll be surprised it's not as bad as you think .. sending you a vertual hug... Chrissie xx
Good luck for today lass. I had lumpectomy nd sentinel nodes removed. It was not as big a deal I had made it out to be in my head. Couple of paracetamol nd at shops nd pub for lunch next day lol.
Everyone is different so just listen to your body nd only do what you are comfortable with. ️ X
