Mum

Hi

4 weeks ago, my mum went to docs with suspected cancer. She had a camera down her throat to look at stomach - all clear, they took a biopsy of her stomach -  came back clear. They then sent her for a CT scan which showed a tumour on her liver, the doc said its inoperable but need to have another CT to see where its coming from or if its primary or secondary. 9 years ago she had lung cancer and had 1/2 of her lung removed followed by chemotherapy, shes been checked with xrays blood tests every year since lung cancer and all clear until now.

Just received a call from nurse to say they had a MDT meeting yesterday and the results are inconclusive as to where the cancer is, they need to look further into it.

Has anyone been through this? Does anyone know why if they know its a tumour on liver why they cant start chemo or whatever asap?

Im scared, cant believe its happening again :-((((

Thankyou xx

  • Hi there ... so sorry, your mum's found herself back on this rollercoaster again ... it seems to wait till your not expecting it, to knock us back again ... sorry can't help with your question but maybe call her oncology team nurse ...as they know more then us ... we can only guess ... hopefully "ask the nurses" may be of more info then us ... but sending a big hug to you both ...
