Hi all new to me have a lump on side neck had ultrasound but didn't say what it is but report said to biopsy or take out but yesterday at doc he said we just remove it and he can't say what it is till its took out iv shoulder pain tired sumtimes itchy worried sick now to wait date surgery would u be out asleep or not thanks

    I just wanted to welcome you to our forum and wish you the best of luck for your surgery. It must be a very stressful time for you at the moment but you will find out more very soon. I hope you don't have to wait too long for your surgery date. 

    I am not sure what type of surgery you are having but it might be worth giving your doctor a call and asking them more information on the surgery and whether it will be performed under general anaesthetic. They will be in the best position to advise you on this and give you all the information you need ahead of your operation.

    Hi I got date I was told excision be done and biopsy is it straight forward will I have stitches
