I had ct, mri and endoscope 3 weeks ago as found a 2cm liver mass on ultrasound.
2 weeks ago I rang the urgent 2 week referral department who informed me it is a 'undetermined mass' and to have PET/MRI in 3 months time. My gp has little more information.
No letter or outpatient appt for me to discuss what this means. Could it be malignant, do they not know? I also have inflamed lymph liver nodes which has reduced somewhat.
I have requested an outpatients appt to discuss, they are trying to get me a cancellation appointment, so it could be weeks or months.
I'm still worried as I dont what the mass is, if it could still be malignant or what their intended management plan is?
Is this normal practise to be given little information on imaging results? Why an PET/MRI in 3 month time, to see if it grows?
