I think it's time I stayed home and looked after my husband but don't know the best way forward financially. Work will let me have time off unpaid so should I apply for carers allowance? Or go sick on ssp?
There is usually someone at the hospital who can offer you advice on finance. Your local Citizens Advice Bureau also give advice on benefits.
