Moderately differentiated squamous cell carcinoma

I'm newly diagnosed . Trying not to be negative but failing. Any tips

  • Try to take each day beaut. Positivity is the best x
  • Definitely take each day at a time, some days you'll be sad, scared, in a mood, it's allowed and normal.  Other days you will feel stronger and more positive and you will be able to deal with whatever is going to happen over the next few months.  Go with how you're feeling on the day and not what you are expected to be feeling, positivity is by far better but a good old cry also did me the world of good a few times xxx

  • Hi, I wish you well and I hope your various scans/x-rays/blood tests etc show a more-towards favourable prognosis.

    You aske for "any tips".

This is the biggest and only tip I can definitely give to you in that you should ask every one of your MDT if they'll kindly let you record everything.  You probably won't be asked to give a reason for doing so but If you are asked why?  you can just say it is in order to not forget anything.

I wishes I could post this to everyone but I'm only gonna post it this once as I've enough on my plate at the moment.

It does actually recommend same in the Macmillan's book so yes please heed that advice and I wish you all the best.
