mesothelioma - a nasty little thing

Hi all

i regularly post on here and am 3 years post treatment for a head and neck cancer

but today I learned that a dear friend of mine has been taken too quickly by this terrible disease

being a survivor it gets to me when anyone loses their fight to cancer, as we may have different strains of cancer but we all fight as one. It feels like a loss in the force (I am no Star Wars geek, but it's the only thing I can liken it too)

but this one was too close, too quick and a retired primary school teacher that should not have been exposed to asbestos ... or so we thought.

The annoyance and anger is gently subsiding and fond memories will soon take their rightful place

RIP dear friend

xx

    Hi Vatch,

I am so sorry to hear about your friend. My sincere sympathy on your loss.

This is the down side of a forum like this. We have lost too many contributors to this site in the 6½ years sice I joined. However, we also still have a number of people on here from that time. This is reassuring and proof that not all cancers are the death sentence that we expected them to be from the outset.

I am glad to hear that you are beginning to draw on fond memories rather than allowing anger to take over.

    Thinking of you,

    Kind regards,

    Jolamine
