Marie Curie nurses are angels

Honestly I would recommend anyone with a terminal illness to reach out to Marie Curie.

They have been so great with my mum, operating a 24 hour call out to help manage her pain now she is in End Of Life care. They have also given us so much information etc about what to expect and simple things like get the GP to do a review. It's so surprising what you don't get told and they have been instrumental in making this process easier. It's been so emotional and I think we are in the final days with my mum but they have made it slightly easier.

  • So sorry what your going through and thank you for the advice. Must be so painful for you, but fulfilling that there are people out that making peoples lives that extra bit special, regardless of their situation.

  • Can I ask at what point did you get in couch with them? I'm feeling a bit lost at the moment. No clear information anywhere on navigating the services and I am exhausted from making endless phone calls.

  • Hi, I phoned them the minute my mum was put on End of Life Care but I should have phoned them sooner. Probably as soon as my mum was on palliative care. They are good for advice also and the nurses knew all about the drugs etc to keep mum calm during her final week.

It's easy to feel lost and alone but please phone them and Macmillion. They can support you also.
