Lymphoma?

Hi, hope everyone is as well as can be.
I've gotten myself into a flap and I have no one to talk to about it who will actually listen so guess I just need to get this off my chest really.

Around Feb time I noticed a small pea in my neck, it's at the back but heading towards the right side if that makes any sense? Didn't think much of it at that time and mostly forgot about it up until a month ago I was rubbing my neck and noticed it had gotten bigger. It's kinda tucked right in a crevice alongside a muscle so it doesn't protrude until I turn my head to the left side. So anyway I contacted GP who said if I was worried about it then we could arrange an ultrasound which I'm still waiting for. Still from this point up until yesterday I pretty much had no feelings about it all.
Then for other reasons I had a full blood panel drawn, they were all fine except my folic acid is very low. GP said he prescribed high dose pills for it so I made the mistake of googling it and came across things saying people with lymphoma can get low FA levels. So then I started taking pics of my neck and I'm actually stunned to see how far it sticks out.

As some background I've been having gallbladder troubles and slight infections so in this time I've had lots and lots of antibiotics and my blood is now clear for infection. The lump I have is firm but not stone like and it does move around a little. My scalp has become insanely itchy but I generally feel okay.

Could this still be something and nothing?

Thanks for reading such a long post lol

I'm sorry to hear that you're dealing with a health worry at the moment. There are many reasons why you may be experiencing the symptoms you've described and this is why your GP has referred you for the ultrasound.

Unfortunately Dr Google is notorious for putting symptoms together and diagnosing the worse case scenario. It's unlikely that Googling your symptoms will give you firm asnwers but it will certainly lead to you feeling more anxious so I'd suggest giving it a wide berth.

Hopefully you won't have to wait too long for the appointment but if you are concerned then you could always give the hospital a call to see how long the waiting list is or if they are able to offer you a short notice cancellation.

    Best wishes,
