Hi there my dad has been at a hospice for two weeks nearly on the pathway which means ready to die !its been such a rollercoaster he went in and slept allday and couldnt swallow so was on meds by driver but then fancied soup and could manage it he ate for 3 days then couldnt again has been nil by mouth cant swallow water without choking for 3 days has been having seizures and is now gasping for breath and still quite aware however not in alot of pain but its heart breaking to watch has anyone else seen some one still concious but going like 40 seconds in between breaths and rasping which seems to wake them again .
