Lung cancer and surgery

Two weeks ago I had a bronchoscopy and haven't heard anything back apart from me chasing them up all last week only to find out my surgeon is on holiday untill the 5th of August. Where do I stand as I am currently dealing with having a collapsed lung as well #help

Hi Ivor and welcome to the forum.
I'm sorry about the wait you're having for the results of your bronchoscopy. It must be very frustrating, especially when you're contending with a collapsed lung.
I can't answer your question but our cancer nurses may be able to help so do give them a call on 0808 800 4040 if you'd like to talk this through with them. They're available Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m.

Is is quite common in some on my age to get lung cancer ?

I'm not medically trained so I can't answer that question I'm afraid, but if you give our cancer nurses a call when you can on the number I provided in my previous message you can discuss this with them as well.
