Lumps out without chemo

I m battling on whether to have these lumps out but was told he couldn't do it till mid November but radiologist said that's not right she ll have a word with him ! Still not sure it I want chemo although it's their recommended route for me and I still feel the lumps were caused when I jammed my left breast in the door and wire bra sticking into the same breast , I'm also worried if we go into some sort of lockdown again in Wales , where will it leave me then ? If I had chemo will that stop anyway !

  • Hi Wendy,

I hope the radiologist was able to get your surgery brought forward for you but if you do have concerns about having the lumps removed and chemo - including what would happen if you went in to lockdown again - do be sure to discuss this with your breast cancer nurse (if you were allocated one) or your medical team as they're best placed to answer your questions and give you the information you need.

We have some information about chemotherapy for breast cancer on our website but our team of cancer nurses are available on 0808 800 4040, Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m if you would like to talk through your options with them as well.

    Kind regards,

  • Hello Steph

Nurse rang me this morning and I'm going ahead with the suggested plan , I know why it's so I can have the extra drugs which gives me the best chsnce of life being prolonged so I must not run from this but I'm in a much better frame of mind than I was
