Lumps in groin

Hi, I am 15 and a boy. I have two small lumps in my left groin which can move, painless and soft. I have had them for 2 months, Is there any chance this could be something serious? I have none anywhere across any other body parts though. Can anyone reply? Thanks

  • Hi and thanks for your post

No one can diagnose on the forums and we would always encourage people to go to their GP or family doctor if they are aware of any changes or something crops up that doesn't go away in a couple of weeks.

Small lumps or nodes come up very often if there is any inflammation or infection or sometimes for no reason. In the majority of people, cancer will not be an explanation for this.

It's best not to look on cancer forums as it can just increase your anxiety - have a chat with a parent or trusted adult about your concern and best to just get it checked out by the doctor. They see many people with things like this and hopefully you will get reassured by someone having a look.

    All the best
