Hi! 

I more or less had the same thing, could feel a lump, called gp, she wanted to see me so went into the Drs surgery, within 2 minutes of being there she said she's going to refer me to the breast clinic and they will examine and do an ultrasound at least. If anything suspicious they will then do a mammogram and if they're still not happy they will do a biopsy. Everything was going through my head at this stage. I got a call the next working day from the breast clinic to make the appointment and then the letter came through 2 days later. Pretty scary!

(Everything turned out fine for me and got no further than the ultrasound)

But I had seen someone else on here say that due to covid and people waiting longer to see their GP regarding cancer, they are referring a lot of people to the breast clinic with a 2 week wait just as a precaution.

What I wanted to say was, just try to feel glad that  you're on the road to getting it sorted and you're in the right hands.

I don't know how old you are but I'm 28, and the breast care centre that I went to there were actually more younger women than older in the waiting room. The staff there were wonderful and so reassuring, you really feel like you're in the right place.

Keep your mind busy with something else until you get to your appointment and stay off google. Best of luck xx

Thankyou so much for your reply , I was supposed to hear from the clinic by yesterday but i

didn't so I rang them this morning and they can't see me until the 24th so another 2 weeks of worry and stress . 
They said that due to Covid they weren't able to see ppl within the 2 week window. 
trying really hard not to google but can't stop thinking about it and touching it !!!!

im really good thanks. My outcome was good , after a consultation and examination followed by a mammogram and scan they found that the lump was an infected cyst which they drained there and then. 
I hope youve been able to get an appointment to be seen quickly.
