Welcome to the forum and I'm sorry to hear about the health issue that you're dealing with at the moment. 

I'm not sure if there was a specific reason for you having the lump rechecked recently with another GP. It may be that this GP has erred on the side of caution due to any changes in the lump since the initial examination 4 years ago. It's important to remember that the vast majority of people referred to breast clinic are not diagnosed with cancer and until you've had your appointment and any necessary tests you won't know for certain what this lump is. 

It's natural to worry about these kind of things. I know that most of our members here will have experienced similar thoughts and feelings whilst waiting for appointments, tests and results. We do have a great community of ladies who have had breast issues. It you use the search function on the forum (magnifying glass in the blue bar at the top of the page) to look for "breast cancer" you'll be able to post and connect with some of those members.
