Lump on left lower part of the neck

Hi everyone,

So I've had this movable lump on my lower left neck for years (about 11 years) and i thought it was normal until now. I am a 25 year old woman and I am terrified to go to my GP. The lump is kinda like a small marble sized lump that can be moved and its painless as well as smooth.

  • Hi I also have 1 it's been there 10 years I've had it scanned twice as it has got bigger I've been told it's nothing to worry about it's like a fat pocket. I'm now on a list to get it removed as I'm conscious of it and want it gone b4 it gets any bigger . Do go get it checked

  • Thank you so much for the reply. I’m glad yours turned out okay, will definitely go to the GP but I’m a nervous wreck. Let me know how the removal process goes.

    All the best.

  • Hi, I can understand your worry, I am the worlds worst worrier.  I have had a lump towards the the lower back side of my neck for about  20 years. It gradually got bigger and than about 5 years ago it  got angry and sore and erupted.  I went to the GP nurse and it was described as a cyst. No other treatment but to keep it clean.  The area than went flat but left a red scar.  Since than it is slowly growing again but  I am not worried.  I hate going to the doctor, like you but you should get it checked out for peace of mind. xx
