Hi all, I've had a lump in my neck for about 6 months. The GP referred me for an ultrasound which happened 08.11.21. During the ultrasound the doctor said it was a swollen lymph node and did a double biopsy immediately. She explained that my results would be fast tracked, a consultant will phone me before the end of the week and that I would be invited to a consultation to discuss findings. 

I have two questions really:

1: when will the place where the biopsy was taken stop hurting? It feels like I have a rock in my throat and some stinging on my neck

2: could this all be a storm in a tea cup and end up being nothing to worry about?
