Hi all,
Just looking to get some advice on an appointment for breast lumps. Basically I’m 24 years old and last year I noticed 2 or 3 lumps all under my right breast in the lower inner quadrant. I had an appointment with my GP in November and he said he couldn’t feel anything sinister and said if the lumps were serious they’d be more defined so I don’t think he could feel them. A few months later I’ve noticed a sore lump in my left breast which I’ve booked a telephone appointment for to discuss with my GP and I’ve noticed the lumps in my right breast are still there so I’m gonna discuss them with the GP too. The only issue is I can only feel the lumps in the right breast when I’m in the shower or if I’m putting cream/lotion on the area. When the breast is dry I can’t really feel the lumps there and on the odd occasion that I can I can’t really feel them there as defined as I can when the breast is wet. What would people advise me to do so the doctor can feel them this time and check what they are? Is there anything I can suggest the doctor do to feel them as last time the area was dry and the doctor was unable to feel them therefore they are still undiagnosed and I have no idea what they are. The fact I can feel them there but don’t know what they are is worrying me but when I went before to get them checked the doctor couldn’t feel them and I’m worried the same thing will happen when I go again. Any advice is welcome. I’m gonna ask the GP on my telephone appointment but I thought id ask for people’s advice on here too in case anyone has had anything similar.
thanks
