Long term effects of chemotherapy

I was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer in 2004 and received chemotherapy and radiotherapy.  Treatment was entirely successsful and I have had no signs of a recurrence so far.  However, my arms are still weak and I was just wondering whether anyone else suffers with long term efffects of chemotherapy?

    Hi dawn ... I'm a grade 3 her 2 lass who had total right mastectomy last July ...  and still find arm where lymph node was is not as strong as it was ... so tend to use other arm more then used to...

    I think "jolomine" has a lot more experience then me ... like you she is a long term lady , and l look to her for advice too ... hopefully she may pick up on your thread ... as she pops on every so often ...

    Hi Chrissie, thanks for the reply. I was lucky not to need surgery and most of the info I have found so far relates to post-surgery weakness. I just don't ever seem to have recovered the strength in my arms since having chemo. Small price to pay I guess :)
