Living

Hi I would just like to wish everyone on this forum all the very best for them and their loved ones that have any form of cancer but it can be accepted and still have a good life in the remaining time left. I lost my dad and mum and brother all to the big C I have had Bladder Cancer for about 10yrs I don’t take any medication for it.

Keep the faith

  • Thanks. And best wishes to you, BigAll. You seem to be hanging in there really well. Long may it continue. Harry

  • Cheers Harry2 I hope you are doing good and your family are all well

  • Harry2 I must keep going as my COPD is grinding me down but I have a 49 year old daughter who is crippled by a stroke and has 2 sons to care for.Now she has been in hospital for 10 days with a chest infection and has a tracheotomy tube to help her breathing and to help clear the infection so yes Harry I have no alternative but to keep going

    Hi BigAl,

I see that you are fairly new to the forum, so I wish you a very warm welcome to Cancer Chat.

I am amazed that you can think of others on this site when I read about how much you have had to endure yourself. Like you, I have lost both parents and many family and friends to cancer and, have had 2 bouts of breast cancer myself in the past 8 years.

I am so sorry to hear about your daughter’s stroke and the chest infection that has her hospitalized at present. What ages are your grandson’s? My hubby had a quadruple by-pass, followed by pneumonia and a stroke many years ago. We had 2 teenage children at the time. He hasn’t worked since. It hasn’t always been easy, but we’re all still here and doing reasonably well.

I am glad to see that you are doing your best, despite the effects of your COPD and, hope that you continue to keep well. I am in awe of you when you say that you take no medication – I take so much that I rattle when I walk, but, heigh-ho, I’m still here too.

    Take care of yourself.

    Kind regards,

    Jolamine
