life after zolatex and radio treatment

Hi

does anyone have experience of how long it takes to recovery from this type of treatment, and getting back to normal?

  • Hi Grogs,

I was diagnosed with prostate cancer about 9 years ago and was treated with Zoladex and 37 radiotherapy sessions. My psa dropped from 70 to 0.01.

I got over the radiotherapy very quickly but it never really was a problem. But the zoladex took some while. The hot flushes kept going for about six years or so.But everyone reacts differntly. My consultant told me it would only take about a year to flush it out of my body.

But I have to say I believe the two treatments combined together saved my live so I look on the side effects as a small price to pay for the result Ive had.

Wishing you all the best, Brian
