Knee pain and blood in stool

Hi, since last March I’ve had knee pain that has slowly spread to my shin and the pain has gotten worse. I’ve noticed that when I walk I have a slight limp and if I’m standing up / walking for a few minutes then I find it difficult to breathe and I have to sit down. About a week ago I felt this pain behind my left ribs that stops me from leaning on my side. Since I felt this pain I’ve noticed dark red / brown streaks of blood in my stools. I also don’t have much of an appetite and if I eat or drink I become hot and shaky and nearly throw up. Since my knee pain started I noticed that I was getting tired a lot but it has gotten worse since my side started to hurt ( napping for about 4 hours a day). I have low levels of vitamin d so I was wondering if that could cause these symptoms or something more serious. I’ve also noticed a few bruises on my body, two being on my back but I haven’t knocked it on anything so I don’t know why there’s a bruise.

  • Hello Ah16.

I'm sorry to hear that you have some health concerns for the past year.

You don't mention if you've been to see your GP at all with these problems. They are the best person to address the concerns that you've raised so we would suggest making an appointment to discuss your symptoms.

I hope that things are resolved soon.

    Best wishes,
