this my first day knowing i have lung cancer.

when they put that camera up your nose and into your lung, it left me with an infection worst than any 'cold' you could imagine. i have a vague memory, just that i have lung cancer. they want to remove part of my lung and give me chemo, i need time to think but i know that for me there is no time.

  • Hi there ... you'll be in shock at the mo ... I heard nothing the Dr said after grade 3 cancer ... it went over my head ... just turned into one of those nodding dogs , they used to have in the back of the car ...

So glad my daughter in law was there writing everything down ... so when the shock decreases enough ...  think carefully which path to take ...

I took a couple of weeks to make my decision ... and glad l did as it gave me back a bit of control ... we tend to loose that on this journey .... but here I am nearly a year post op now ... so it's not always about grade ... and they have come along way ...

Cancer is like getting on the scariest rollercoaster you ever saw ... and you buckle in and off you go ... and you can't stop it .. so you have to hold on tight ... and it's a bumpy ride ... but look around and wet all there with you ... all with one thing in common ... kicking cancers butt ... it's not about winning or loosing this journey ..l it's about not letting cancer change the person we are ... never loose site of you ...

You don't know how tough you are, till your backs against the wall ... Chrissie  x
