Hi, how long have you had these symptoms? I would suggest you make an appointment to see your GP as soon as possible just to make sure it's nothing serious and you can have treatment for the wound/redness. Sounds like it could be an infection? Would be interested to know how you get on if you want to come back on here? All the best. Amy
We are always advised to get any noticeable changes in our breasts checked out as soon as possible. I agree with our moderator Ben and with Amy. Please get this investigated immediately. Phone your GP and ask for an immediate appointment. If there is any length of time to wait, explain to the receptionist why you need to be seen quickly.
Chances are that you may be referred on the 2 week urgent pathway to the breast clinic for further investigation. If this happens, don't panic. 80% of those attending these clinics get the all clear. Many people worry when they hear the words' urgent pathway', but this is normal, where there is the slightet likelihood of cancer.

Hi there, what do you mean by a random wound ,us it a deep wound ? I had a pink colour on my areola and my nipple became inverted, thought it was an infection due to my circumstances with my disabled son etc and COVID I left it the wound got deeper and j had blood and puss eventually so I asked for antibiotics thought I'd got an abcess , I've had it at least 4 years but wasn't like thatfor 4years over the last 10 months the whole if my areola a d nipple went in creating a fungating wound. I was my lymph nodes came up to a hard 3cm lump and I was referred on the two week pathway to breast clinic. All of my breast is hard , they dud a biopsy but cpuid tell it is advanced local breast cancer , and im having a CT scan Wednesday to see if soread to liver. I don't wish to frighten you cause it could just be a infection which needs treating anyway , I dud have an infection and treated with antibiotics. I left it too long, so please get it checked out just incase at this earlier stage and don't leave it like I did. Hopefully it will be nothing if concern but treated with antibiotics.
