Is it possible to have lymphoma without weight loss?

1 Dec 2021 21:48

Hi everyone, I recently went for an mri as o was complaining about a very sore back for a wee while, during the mri the didn't find anything on back however they did find that my lymph nodes are enlarged and have sent me for a ultrasound to check for lymphoma I've looked at the symptoms and I have nearly all of them bar the unexplained weight loss however I've been told that u ALWAYS loose weight with a form of cancer? Is this true or is there cases where it could be it without the weight loss? I have every other symptom the two lumps That I know of feel  hard and not painful I have had them for a while and thought nothing of them thanks guys anything helps cheers

Welcome to Cancer Chat, JohnC7.

I'm sorry to hear about your situation but I'm afraid I won't be able to answer your questions as I'm not medically trained. That being said, we do have some information on our webpage about signs and symptoms of cancer and lymphoma I wanted to share with you.

I hope this helps a bit although the best would be to speak to your doctor as they're the ones familiar with your health history and able to tell what your symptoms mean.

All the best,
