Inverted nipples at 16

I've had inverted nipples all my life, the left one comes out when it's cold, the right one can be squeezed out but doesn't tent to be as active as my left one. Inverted nipples have always been my biggest insecurity and I was wondering if there is anything I could do to help them come out? Should I go see a doctor? Is it cancer? And if I do see a doctor will they prescribe hormones to help with the issue, I'm very worried they will never come out and I'm extremely insecure about them please help!

  • Hi Rosey and welcome to the forum.

In the first instance would it be possible to speak to someone you trust about this, so maybe your mum? Hopefully she'll be able to put your mind at ease but if it's still worrying you then there's no harm in booking an appointment with your doctor; you can even try requesting a female one if you feel it will make it easier to discuss this.

I hope you're able to get some reassurance soon Rosey.

    Kind regards,
