In the middle of the night at the hospital.

My 25 year old son has been fighting head and neck cancer for a year. He is back in the hospital with an infection. It's such an uncomfortable place at night being confined with the beeping noses and lights flashing. Nurses waking you up for blood pressure when you've just gotten 20 minutes of sleep. Listening to his rough breathing. It's hard.

  • Hi there , my heart goes out to you .... my son has been diabetic since he's was 14 and I've so nearly lost him a couple of times , and he has this for life so l can empathise a little as they are and always will be our babies ...

blood pressure taken every couple of hours will help keep him safe as its a big indication of how he's doing ... even though it seems unfare when he wants to sleep ...

theres nothing l can say to make what your feeling easier as us mums will worry no matter what .. I'm keeping everything crossed he's on the up ... I'm sure you being there is helping him too as we all want our mums when things are hard ... so hold on in there ... your not on your own ... let us know how you and your son are doing ...one thing I do know is sometimes it brings out so many different feelings .. esp why .... so sending you a big hug from one mum to another   Xx

  • There is nothing that I can say to help you but from one mother of a son to another I send you my love and hope that there is a light at the end of your tunnel.xx leslie
