Im so fed up

I' ve still got pains in my legs , my chemo finished on the 31 st August 2017 and had my right breast and lymph nodes removed but now my left breast is tender and looks bigger than it did before . Also when i had my first c.t.scan in may 2017 i had some fat nodules in my lungs and spleen they checked them again in August 2017 and they were still fatty nodules and i alsohad them checked again on 6th feb , i didnt hear anything from hospital so i rang the breast care nurse she said if anything had been highlighted the MDT team would have let her know by now but obviously thats not a guarantee . and the leg pain could be lack of calcium ? i thought i would be back at work by now pain free , it just seemes to be taking ages to get well again , ive just read that the night sweats and tender breast could be due to the menopause because i started the chemo at 47 i would go straight into the menopause . I recived an appointment for next week to go back and get everything re checked and sorted out . i hate waiting its a nightmare waiting for bad news . I just want it all to be over.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                      RANT OVER ..................

  • Hello pg.  Feel free to rant whenever you feel the need to do so.  That is one of the functions of this forum!  I have not had breast cancer but by this short reply I am putting your post back on the front screen where I hope it will be seen by one of our lovely ladies who have been through this and will share their own experiences.  Best wishes.  Annie

  • Hi to you,  it's so hard on this cancer treadmill, I honestly don't think you are given as much information as you should get.  My hubby, lung cancer  ,endured terrible pain in his arms and shoulders, on our visit to the Oncologist after final treatment,  she shrugged her shoulder and said it was nothing to do with the treatments.   However after suffering for weeks our surgery ordered a blood test and he was anaemic and this causes arm pain, leg pain, anything to do with muscles getting a blood supply, so ask for a blood test.   You feel abandoned after the treatment,  left to your own thoughts and fears.   Chat on this forum is a big help as someone has always been through what you are and we can help.  What about your Mc Millan nurse, or there is a nurse on this forum to help you. Don't suffer alone it's too hard.  Caz
