Ill but caring for a relative.

I sometimes need help myself but a relative has only me for her relative. She's been in hospital for a few days and I could have just cried knowing I had to take care of everything. I feel awful.

  • It's ok to feel like this dc64 and I just wanted to stop by and let you know you are not alone.

Many of our members are in the same position with their loved ones and will definitely understand the challenges of caring for a family member with cancer. I was just chatting to one of them not too long ago actually. [@Fruitloop]‍ is a new member and is a carer for their mum and now I've tagged them in this post I'm sure they will be along soon to offer their support and advice.

Is it possible for you to get any outside help at all? If you're not sure about what is available to you or would like to find out more do give our cancer nurses a call. They are available Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m on 0808 800 4040 (this number is free to call from a UK landline). Do give them a call and chat to them about your situation as they will do all they can to help.

Stay strong dc64 and make sure you are able to get some time to look yourself if you can.

    All the best,
