Hi had a radical nephrectomy in October and just awaiting results from a chest x ray on a lung nodule but in the last few weeks have noticed pain in both hips ! Has anyone else experienced this ??
I'm sorry to see you're having pain in both hips after having your radical nephrectomy Keira.
I know you're hoping to hear from others that may have experienced this so I've had a look through the forum and found a few members that have also had this procedure - [@Rose62], [@Lima] and [@Skybobm] - or supported loved ones that have - [@Chrissie05] and [@caz77] - that may be able to give you some insight. If you haven't done so already, do make sure you let your medical team know about the pain as they may be able to help with this too.
I hope the pain goes away soon and that you don't have to wait too much longer for the results of your x-ray.
Hi Keira. Hope you're doing well after the nephrectomy.
Did you ever get any answers regarding the hip pain? I had a partial nephrectomy for an RCC in february and have developed quite severe hip pain (both sides) that feels like it starts on the hip bones (or just below) and radiates downwards.
sorry for late reply , no I never found out what the hip pain was but in all honesty I think after having a major op I carried myself differently ! I do still get hip pain but no where near like I used too ! I speak with my consultant on Monday so maybe I'll ask about it
