Hi there

Hi.  My name is Neil and I'm 37 from Aberdeen in Scotland.  Was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leuakaemia in Feb 2015.  Got into remission eventually and started my maintenance therapy in Dec 2015.

In December 2016,  there was signs of a relapse in my spinal fluid which was confirmed in January this year.

Restarted my induction treatment again as an outpatient until i was admitted to hospital 3 weeks later with an infection.  Been in ever since.  As part of the treatment,  I got several intrathecals which caused some problems in my spine and I am now partially paralysed and wheelchair bound.  I also received radiotherapy to my brain and spine.

2 weeks ago they took another sample of spinal fluid which showed some cells again but the susbequent samples taken last week was clear.

the plan is for me to start on some immunotherapy next week (Blinatumomab)
