Hi , my first time here

Hi , my names Mandy and my daughter has terminal secondary bone cancer. I am desperate to try and find out about

any clinical trials but seriously don't know where to start. I guess we are all in the same boat here and my heart goes

out to you all . But any info would be greatly appreciated. Watching my darlin girl go through chemo the firszt tiem, not being able to hold her as she was to sore and frail broke my heart :(  But at least this time the chemo is in tablet form and hasn't

made her lose her hair again. So there you i'm me and would love to speak to others going through a similar journey xx

Have a painfree day if at all possible

luv Mandy x

    Hi Mandy,
Welcome to this group of caring, wonderful people.  I am sorry to see the reason you have joined
A suggestion would to ring the nurses on this site if you are in the UK for a quicker response to your questions.
I lost my husband to secondary bone cancer which we found before the primary unfortunately. I truly feel for you.  It is so hard to watch someone we love in pain. Do you have a good medical team looking after your daughter?  Do you have McMillan involved as yet?  I am in Australia and we had great support from our team
    Sending you a big hug
    Kathy  x

  • Welcome to the forum though saddened to read the reason you are here.  Kathy has already given you good advice re the nurses on this site (lines open 9-5 mon to fri and free from UK landlines).  I do not have much understanding of bone cancer but lost my husband to terminal cancer two months ago and watching/caring for any loved one is both devastating and how brave your daughter  is to be going through the hard treatment  programmes.  Hope you have good support around you and come and chat/rant/offload here as there are many caring and understanding 'readers and responders'. Send virtual hand to hold and hugs. Regards Jules54

  • Jules = your post here is so moving - all I want you to say is I hold your hand and gives you hugs as well - you are a brave lady.

god bless you - you are such an inspiration

  • Hi Mandy

What can anyone say - in this desperate situation you find yourself in with your beautiful daughter. My heart is so moved and I feel so much for you. Its terrible. Lets hope the chemo works and isn't too bad for her.

We will be thinking of her and you = all day today

  • Hi Steven

Do not think of myself of either brave or inspirational but rather 'matter of fact' (and perhaps having the benefit of my lovely Dad's genes). However we all need our hands held from time to time and virtual friendship is something quite special, thank you. How are you?

(sorry for hi-jacking your thread Mandy, how are you doing).

    Hugs  Jules x
