  • can i have herceptin without chemo

  • Hello Drinky

The best person to answer your question will be your oncologist as they have a full overview of your diagnosis.

However, we do have some information about Herceptin that may help answer your question. If you'd like to chat things through with one of our nurses ahead of your next appointment then you're most welcome to call them on 0808 800 4040 (Mon-Fri 9 am to 5 pm).

    Best wishes,

  • Hi Drinky,

I was diagnosed overly a year ago and my breast cancer was HER2+. I was told one of the reasons it was advisable I had chemo was because of the HER2. I had chemo and Herceptin together. When I finished that chemo I had Herceptin on its own.

As mentioned your oncologist is best to talk to also if you have a breast nurse they may be able to answer some questions in a more timely manner.

Best of luck with your journey.
