I am so sorry you and your family are going through this.  It seems to me you need to take real good care of yourself as you are in a stressful situation with a serious condition yourself.  Even perhaps setting up GP face to face to let you vent some of the stuff could help.  Perhaps they could refer you to psychology for help? I have been a SW in a mental health team and all sorts of referrals come in.  The psychologists work in tandem with the whole team.

Re your Dad I think it is important not to jump the gun.  Do you know if he has had biopsies taken and had the results back?.Also there is the question of what stage the cancer has reached.  This will dictate any treatment choices as you probably realise.  

Keep talking to folk on here as there will be some who can identify more directly.  I 'just' have a type of polyp in my duodenum (small bowel) which can turn cancerous.  Have known about it now for close to 4 months.  Had a CT scan which did not show up anything else.

First thank you, i have a palatine care therapist for me to talk to about health. But its my dad that's tearing me up. He has no biopsy just the blood test , and stool sample he is certain they have said its 1000 percent cancer and of course not going to push him on that ,but then doctors who we both under are saying he cant have been told for certain with just them tests????????

but all family has been told , I've been through the tests myself to get my diagnosis but its about supporting my dad my mum,and unsure of what is going on. I believe if he tells me something its true but doctors are saying he is jumping gun.
