my mum had a chest X-ray and then a CT scan. We saw the lung doctor who said she had a mass well established about 5cm. He sent her for a lung function test, they took fluid from the lungs and yesterday she had a biopsy. They gave her  a sheet that said what they had seen. They said no Tumour found in LUL, lots of mucus and an inflamed area (Googling if the words) samples taken. my mum has seen this and thinks they found nothing. Please advise me I don't want her to get her hopes up

    I'm sorry to hear that your Mum has had some problems which have resulted in her seeing the lung specialist recently. Understandably it's a worrying time for you all whilst you wait for the results of the biopsy. 

    Unfortunately we're not able to comment on medical reports and the best people to explain what they have or haven't found will be your Mum's Drs. Have they given you any idea when the biopsy results will be available? Hopefully you won't have to wait too long to speak to the Consultant.
