Hello - newly diagnosed

Hello everyone, I'm looking forward to discussing cancer as I don't really have anyone to talk to at home, I'm nearly 60, semi retired teacher.

  • Hi there mummycat...

Hello and welcome to our little chat room ... you'll always find someone on here to chat too ... where everyone and all views are welcome ...  and will offer a shoulder to lean on , through hard days... and a high 5 when there's good news ... I'm sure you'll have others pop along to welcome you too ...

    Take care ... Chrissie xx

  • Hello Mummycat and welcome! I am new here, too. This seems to be a great site for caring support :)

  • Hi mummycat, im new to this site too, im sure we,ll find lots of friends and support.it can be very frightening when first diagnosed i know. So give yourself a ?ittle bit of time and space to take things in. Xx

  • Well hi to you all ... I've chatted to lots on here ... and when l had a melt down, (and I'm pretty tough usually) l had such great support ... so just remember, wer all on this cancer rollercoaster ride ... with all the hi 's  and low's it brings ... this cancer thinks it can knock us down and give up ... well on here, we all give him a run for his money ... we may not always beat it, but we can kick it's *** along the way ...

A saying l like is ... cancer can knock you down in the gutter, and we have the choice to stay face down and give up ... or lift your head up and see the stars ... so hold on together ... we all make a great team ...welcome to you all ... you can make a difference when you see other new posts where they just need a feeling of not being alone ... big hugs to you all ... May your journey be kind to you ... Chrissie
